Commercial Relationship Manager Job Description
Job Overview:
Supports a team of commercial lenders to establish and cultivate thriving banking relationships. Serves as a client’s point of contact by communicating expectations, gathering, analyzing, and packaging required documents, and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of essential information while communicating with attorneys and title companies to coordinate loan closings. In addition to expediting the initial loan application process, the position maintains the health of the bank’s loan portfolio by obtaining updated financial information as required through the life of each loan. Maintains participation portfolio to monitor for past dues, renewals, and update financial documents as needed. Monitors commercial lines of credit as needed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Serve as a client’s point of contact by communicating expectations, gathering, analyzing, and packaging required documents.
· Ensure the completeness and accuracy of essential information.
· Analyze financial information and prepare credit memos for loan purposes in a timely and efficient manner.
· Communicate with attorneys and title companies to coordinate loan closings.
· Research and resolve issues, escalate urgent requests, and keep the lending team informed of developments.
· Obtain updated financial information as required through the life of each loan.
· Maintains participation portfolio to monitor for past dues, renewals, and update financial documents as needed.
· Monitors commercial lines of credit as needed.
· Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, and all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge:
· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients.
· Proficient in analyzing financial statements and assessing creditworthiness.
· Understanding of commercial banking products and services.
· Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance requirements.
Skills:
· Proficiency in financial analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience and ability to navigate commercial lending platforms and bank core software.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and report preparation.
· High level of accuracy in analyzing data and preparing proposals.
· Ability to identify client needs and provide tailored banking solutions.
· Effective teamwork skills to work with internal teams and clients.
Qualifications:
· Must have a minimum of a high school diploma. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
· Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.
Work Environment:
This position operates in an office setting but includes responsibilities requiring some travel. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Light travel may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, or kneel.
