Welcome First Fidelity Bank customers TO FIRST Bank of alabama!

Log in to your new online & mobile Banking!

Use the instructions below to log in to First Bank of Alabama's digital banking system for the first time on March 30th. 

- Download our mobile app and enroll, select the First Fidelity Online Banking Access button below, or select the Online Banking Login option at the top right of this page, and then select “First Time user? Enroll now.”

  

- You will need your social security number for consumers and EIN for business customers, account number, email and phone associated with your account(s).

Follow the prompts accordingly to finish setting up your digital account with the appropriate security features on your phone or computer.

Your First Fidelity Bank online & mobile banking will switch to inquiry-only mode. You will be unable to add or maintain any transfers or Bill Pay payments in your online or mobile banking. Take a moment to download any eStatements, Bill Pay payee information and transfer information before your current online and mobile banking is disabled on Friday, March 27.
Wednesday, March 25

Your current online & mobile banking, along with telephone banking, will be disabled at 5 PM CST. Bill Pay payments scheduled after March 27 will not process and will need to be reestablished in First Bank of Alabama's online or mobile banking system on Monday, March 30.

First Fidelity Bank will mail paper statements for all checking and savings accounts on this day. eStatements will not be available for this particular statement.
Friday, March 27

Download the new First Bank of Alabama app or visit our website to log in to First Bank of Alabama's digital banking system. At this time, you will be able to enroll in eStatements, add Bill Pay payee information and payments, and set up transfers with First Bank of Alabama.

You may activate and PIN your NEW First Bank of Alabama Mastercard® debit card beginning at 7 AM CST. Once your new card is activated, update any websites or automatic payments with your new card information.

You can begin using First Bank of Alabama's telephone banking system.

Why is First Fidelity Bank merging with First Bank of Alabama?
We believe this merger will give us the opportunity to further expand our physical presence, and offer a wide array of consumer and business products and a variety of other innovations that will be attractive to potential and current customers. With this addition, we achieve broader awareness of our history of service, commitment to customer satisfaction, and long-standing tradition of helping individuals, families, and businesses reach their financial goals.

When will I see signage begin to change at the First Fidelity Bank offices?
Signage will begin to change in March.

About the People

Who is the President/CEO of First Bank of Alabama and who are the members of the Executive Team?
J. Chad Jones is the current President & Chief Executive Officer. Chad Thomas is Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Mitch Key is Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Brandon Freeman is Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer, and Greg Morgan is Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer.

Will I still see the same faces?
There may be minimal personnel changes, but you will continue to bank with the same people you are accustomed to.

Will my account number change?
We do not anticipate that any account numbers will change. You will be notified in advance should it be neccessary.

Will I still be able to use my current checks?
You may continue using your First Fidelity checks until they are depleted. After that, you may order and begin using First Bank of Alabama checks.

Will I still be able to use my debit card?
Yes, you may continue to use your current debit card until March 30th. New First Bank of Alabama Mastercard® debit cards will be mailed in early March along with instructions about activating the new card beginning March 30th.

What happens if I have more than 1 debit card? How will I know which card goes to which account?
When you receive your debit card(s) you will also receive instructions along with a phone number that you will be able to call and activate and PIN your new debit card(s). For security reasons we won't be able to mail your account information with your card(s). If you have questions about which card is associated with which account, please contact your local First Fidelity branch prior to the conversion date. Beginning March 30, all First Bank of Alabama branches will be available to assist you.

How will this affect my rates and service charges/fees?
First Bank of Alabama is very proud of our rate and fee structure and we’re confident you will find our rates and fees are extremely competitive. After the system merger is complete, service charges and fees convert to First Bank of Alabama’s schedule as follows:

• Deposit accounts, other than CDs, will automatically begin earning interest at First Bank of Alabama rates when the system merger is complete.

• CDs will continue to earn interest at the rate you contracted with First Fidelity Bank until they mature. If renewed at that time, they will renew at First Bank of Alabama’s rates.

• Loan interest rates remain as currently defined in your loan agreements unless you refinance the loan. First Bank of Alabama will be happy to assist with refinancing if you are interested in doing so.

• Safe deposit boxes will convert to First Bank of Alabama on the closing date and you will have immediate access to them.

Will my deposits continue to be federally insured?
Yes. First Bank of Alabama is a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which insures each depositor up to $250,000. A bank customer who has multiple accounts may qualify for more than $250,000 of insurance coverage if the customer's funds are deposited in different ownership categories and the requirements for each ownership category are met. You may find more information at www.fdic.gov.

Will I be able to access my account at new locations?
Immediately following our system merger, you will have access to all of First Bank of Alabama’s locations and ATMs beginning on March 30th.

Will employee contact information change?
Some contact information will change, but these changes will take place without disruption to customers.

Will there be any changes to my account notices and statements?
All of your account notices and statements will be updated with First Bank of Alabama’s presentation when the system merger is complete.

How will I receive additional information about this acquisition?
You will receive mailings, and you will have access to updates available at the current First Fidelity Bank offices.

We also send periodic emails with all of our updates and important notices, along with text messages when applicable.
