Job Overview:

Promote the bank by building and maintaining strong customer relationships through exceptional service. Respond to inquiries about new and existing financial services, educating customers on products, emerging bank technology, and digital solutions. Ensure consistently optimal customer experience by managing transactional needs, including teller activities. Proactively assess customers' depository and borrowing needs, recommending suitable products based on a thorough knowledge of bank offerings. Also responsible for cross-selling products and services to existing customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Interact with current and potential customers, recommending appropriate products and services while ensuring the confidentiality of all customer account information. Conduct outbound calls as needed.

· Receive, investigate, and resolve customer inquiries and issues regarding products and services.

· Partner with other business areas within the bank to identify sales opportunities and foster outstanding customer experience.

· Open and close customer accounts, update customer and account records as appropriate, and perform regular account maintenance requests.

· Provide referrals to other lines of business and cross-selling products and services to existing customers.

· Collaborate with other business lines to enhance service offerings.

· Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations. Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.

· Assist customers with transactional needs according to established guidelines, brand model, and service standards, including answering basic inquiries regarding account balances, transaction history, service charges, interest rates, etc. Maintain daily operational standards.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge:

· Understanding of bank products and services to recommend appropriate solutions to customers.

· Familiarity with customer account management, including opening, closing, and maintenance.

· Knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.

· Awareness of internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies.

· Principles of customer service and enhancement of experience.

· Understanding sales opportunities within the banking sector and cross-selling techniques.

· Basic knowledge of financial transactions and banking operations.

Skills:

· Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with current and potential customers.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer account information.

· Proficiency in conducting outbound calls and handling customer inquiries and issues.

· Competence in partnering with other business areas to identify sales opportunities.

· Skill in opening, closing, and maintaining customer accounts.

· Ability to provide referrals and cross-selling products and services effectively.

· Collaboration skills to work with other business lines and enhance service offerings.

· Attention to detail to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulations.

· Proficiency in assisting customers with transactional needs and maintaining operational standards.

Qualifications:

· Must have a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.

· 2+ years' customer service experience in financial services, or retail sales preferred.

· Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to bank locations as needed.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Light travel may be required.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described represent those an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, or kneel. Ability to see objects up close or at a distance, use peripheral vision, identify basic colors; Use of hands with ability to reach; ability to lift 20 pounds.
